A FoxESS system is straightforward to run day to day. The FoxESS Cloud app lets you see your solar generation, battery level and home usage from your phone, so you can watch the savings add up and spot anything unusual early.

Pair it with a smart tariff and the battery charges when electricity is cheapest, then powers your home through the expensive evening peak, which is where most of the saving comes from. We set all of this up and walk you through it at handover.

Can I add FoxESS to my existing solar panels?

Yes. Around 40% of the battery systems we fit in North Wales are retrofits to existing solar arrays. There are two ways we do it:

AC coupled, keeping your existing inverter. We add the FoxESS battery alongside your current inverter, such as a Solis, Growatt or SolarEdge. The battery captures the excess energy your panels already produce and stores it for the evening.

Hybrid replacement. Where it makes sense, we replace your existing inverter with a FoxESS hybrid unit for a tidier, fully integrated system. We advise which route suits your setup at the survey.

Can I add a FoxESS battery to my existing solar panels?
Yes. We can retrofit a FoxESS battery to most existing solar PV systems, or supply solar and storage together on a new install.

How big a battery do I need?
For most homes a 5kWh to 10kWh battery covers evening and overnight use. FoxESS is modular, so you can add capacity later. We recommend the right size at your free survey.

Does it work with Octopus and other smart tariffs?
Yes. A FoxESS system can charge when electricity is cheapest on a time-of-use tariff and discharge at peak times to lower your bills.

What warranty do I get?
FoxESS batteries carry a 10-year manufacturer warranty, which we register for you when we commission the system.
